요즘은 ‘작고 감성 있는 공간’이 진짜 인기잖아?
그래서 용산 골목 어딘가에 숨어있다는
작은 유럽 감성 레스토랑 ‘쇼니노’를 다녀왔어.
용산역에서 걸어서 10분 정도,
좁은 골목길을 따라 걷다 보면
조용히 문을 열고 있는 하얀 건물이 바로 그곳이야.
가정집을 개조해 만든 식당이라
들어서는 순간부터 따뜻한 온기가 느껴져.

 

 

 

"Small, intimate spaces" are really popular these days, aren't they? So, I visited "shawnino," a small, European-inspired restaurant hidden somewhere in a Yongsan alley. About a 10-minute walk from Yongsan Station, if you walk down a narrow alley, you'll find a white building quietly opening its doors. This restaurant, renovated from a private home, feels warm and inviting from the moment you step inside.

식사는 와인 한 잔으로 시작돼.
잔을 부딪치며 “오늘 하루 수고했어”

The meal begins with a glass of wine. Clinking our glasses, we say, "Thank you for your hard work today."

 

 

그 한마디만으로 분위기가 확 달라지더라.

이어서 나온 브루스케타와 무화과 스프레드,
그리고 무청 피스타치오 봉골레 파스타,
통오징어 토마토 바질 리조또까지 —
하나하나 정성이 가득해.

 

 

 

Just those words completely change the mood. Following that were bruschetta and fig spread, and then pistachio vongole pasta with radish greens, and whole squid tomato basil risotto— everything is filled with care.

 

 

특히 리조또 위에 오징어가 통째로 올라온 비주얼은
사진 안 찍을 수가 없었지📸

달콤한 티라미수로 마무리하면서
“이게 바로 영화 속 한 장면 아닐까?” 싶었어.

 

 

 

Especially the visual of the whole squid on top of the risotto I couldn't help but take a picture📸 Finally finishing off with a sweet tiramisu, I thought, "Isn't this a scene from a movie?"

 

 

 

🌿 공간 자체가 힐링 The space itself is healing.

쇼니뇨는 크지 않지만
주방이 바로 보이는 오픈형 구조라
셰프의 손놀림, 재료 볶는 소리, 와인 따르는 향기까지
그대로 느껴져.
마치 집에서 셰프를 초대한 듯한 아늑함이랄까.
날씨 좋은 날엔 창가 자리가 진짜 명당이야.
햇살이 살짝 들어오는 오후 시간대가 특히 예뻐.

 

 

 

shawnino isn't large, but the open kitchen is visible, so you can feel the chef's movements, the sound of the ingredients stir-frying, and the aroma of the wine pouring. It's almost as cozy as inviting the chef into your home. On a nice day, the window seat is a real treat. The afternoon sun streaming in is especially beautiful.
