이번에 정선 갔다가 점심으로 고한 메밀촌막국수 다녀왔어.
구공탄시장 한 바퀴 돌고 나니까 슬슬 배가 고파서,
현지인들이 추천한 이 집으로 바로 직행했지!
그런데 알고 보니까 SBS 수요미식회에도 나왔던 곳이더라.
메밀을 직접 제면하는 주인장님 솜씨가 보통이 아니었어.
I recently visited Jeongseon and had Gohan Memilchon Makguksu for lunch. After a stroll around Gugongtan Market, I was getting hungry, so I headed straight to this place recommended by the locals! It turned out it had even been featured on SBS's Wednesday Food Talk. The owner's hand-made buckwheat noodles were truly amazing.
🥢 막국수 & 감자전
막국수는 한입 먹자마자 메밀향이 확~ 퍼지더라.
양념이 자극적이지 않고 딱 깔끔한 스타일이야.
면이 탱글탱글하면서도 부드러워서, 먹다 보면 어느새 그릇 바닥이 보여 😆
감자전은 겉바속촉이라기보단, 부드럽고 촉촉한 느낌이었어.
감자만으로 만든 듯한 순한 맛이라 기름기 하나 없고 담백하더라.
딱 감자 본연의 고소함만 살아 있어서 계속 손이 갔어.
(솔직히 막걸리 한 잔 있었으면 금상첨화였을 듯 ㅎㅎ)
🥢 Makguksu & Gamjajeon
The makguksu was bursting with buckwheat flavor as soon as I took a bite. The seasoning wasn't overpowering, but rather clean and refreshing. The noodles were chewy yet soft, and I could almost see the bottom of the bowl before I knew it. 😆
The gamjajeon was soft and moist, rather than crispy on the outside and chewy on the inside. It had a mild flavor, as if made entirely from potat
oes, and was not greasy at all, but rather light and refreshing. The potato pancake had a distinctly potato-like flavor, so I couldn't stop reaching for more. (Honestly, a glass of makgeolli would have been the icing on the cake, haha)

There's a reason it was featured on TV. The deep flavor of the makguksu (buckwheat noodles), the mild savory flavor of the potato pancakes... Both were "authentic local flavors" you can only find in Jeongseon. If you're ever in Jeongseon, definitely stop by—you won't regret it 😋
