🚗 고흥 도착 첫끼, 삼국시대감자탕에서 My first meal upon arriving in Goheung: Samguk Sidae Gamjatang
고흥에 도착하자마자 제일 먼저 든 생각, “뜨끈한 국물 좀 먹자!”였지.
그래서 찾은 곳이 바로 삼국시대감자탕.
이름부터 왠지 오래된 내공이 느껴지더라구.
입구부터 풍겨오는 국물 냄새에 피로가 싹 녹는 기분이었어.
The first thing that came to mind upon arriving in Goheung was, "Let's have some hot soup!" So, I headed to Samguk Sidae Gamjatang. The name itself evoked a sense of long-standing tradition. The aroma of the soup wafting in from the entrance made all my fatigue melt away.

🍲 진한 국물과 푸짐한 고기 Rich broth and generous portions of meat
감자탕이 나오자마자 “와~” 했어.
양이 정말 푸짐하고, 뼈에 붙은 고기가 야들야들하게 잘 익었더라.
국물은 진하면서도 느끼하지 않고, 들깨향이 은은하게 퍼지는 게 아주 좋았어.
감자와 우거지도 듬뿍 들어 있어서 한입 먹을 때마다 식감이 풍성했지.
같이 나온 깍두기랑 잘 익은 김치가 또 찰떡궁합(?)이었어.
I exclaimed, "Wow!" as soon as the gamjatang arrived. The portion was incredibly generous, and the meat was tender and well-cooked, just right on the bone. The broth was rich but not greasy, and the subtle perilla flavor was incredibly pleasant. The generous portions of potatoes and kimchi added a rich texture to each bite. The accompanying cubed radish kimchi and well-fermented kimchi were a perfect match(?).
🍚 밥 한 숟갈에 국물 한 입, 완벽한 조합 A spoonful of rice, a mouthful of soup: a perfect combination.
역시 감자탕은 밥 말아야 제맛이지.
국물에 밥을 살짝 말고 고기 한 점 올려서 먹으니
그동안의 운전 피로가 한순간에 사라지는 기분이었어.
매콤하면서도 구수한 맛이라 남녀노소 누구나 좋아할 맛이야.
Gamjatang is best enjoyed with rice. I dipped a little rice in the soup, topped it with a piece of meat, and it felt like all the fatigue from driving had vanished in an instant. The spicy yet savory flavor is a favorite of all ages.
😋 한상 가득한 만족 A satisfying meal.
반찬들도 정갈하고, 전체적으로 음식이 깔끔했어.
무엇보다도 직원분들이 친절해서 식사 내내 기분이 좋았어.
가게 내부도 깔끔하고 좌식, 아이들 놀이방이 별도로 있어서 가족단위 손님도 편하겠더라.
The side dishes were neat and the food was overall clean. More than anything, the staff were friendly, which made the meal enjoyable. The interior is clean and has seating and a separate playroom for children, making it a great place for families.
💬 고흥 오면 한 번쯤 꼭 들러야 할 감자탕집 A gamjatang restaurant you must visit at least once when you visit Goheung.
든든하게 한 끼 먹고 나니 “고흥 잘 왔다” 싶은 기분이야.
국물 맛이 워낙 깊어서 해장용으로도 딱이고,
고흥 여행 중에 몸이 좀 피곤할 때 꼭 추천하고 싶은 집이야.
게다가 24시간 영업중.
다음에 또 오면 감자탕 말고 콩나물국밥도 한 번 먹어봐야겠어.
After a hearty meal, I'm glad I came to Goheung. The broth is so richly flavored that it's perfect for a hangover cure. This is a place I'd definitely recommend if you're feeling a little tired during your trip to Goheung. Plus, it's open 24 hours. Next time I visit, I'll have to try the kongnamul gukbap (bean sprout soup) instead of the gamjatang.
