고흥 쑥섬 들어가기 전, 나로도여객터미널 근처 남도횟집에서 맛본 삼치조림 Before entering Goheung Sukseom Island, I tasted braised tuna at Namdo Hoetjip near Naro Passenger Terminal.

친구야, 전라남도 고흥은 진짜 멀었어…😅
서울에서 고흥 애도(쑥섬)까지 5시간을 달려서 도착했거든?
거의 여행 반은 운전한 느낌이야. 그래도 도착하니까 바다 냄새 확~ 나면서 피로가 싹 풀리더라.

Hey, friend, Goheung in South Jeolla Province is really far… 😅 I drove five hours from Seoul to Aedo Island (Ssuk Island) in Goheung. It felt like I spent almost half the trip driving. But when I arrived, the smell of the ocean hit me and all my fatigue disappeared.

✔️ 남도횟집 : 전남 고흥군 봉래면 나로도항길 인근 (나로도여객터미널 바로 옆)

✔️ 주차 : 여객터미널 공영주차장 이용 가능

✔️ Namdo Hoejip: Near Naro Port Road, Bongrae-myeon, Goheung-gun, Jeollanam-do (right next to the Naro Passenger Terminal)

✔️ Parking: Public parking lot at the passenger terminal available.

 

 

 

🚗 고흥 애도 들어가기 전, 남도횟집에서 한 끼 Before heading to Aedo Island in Goheung, have a meal at Namdo Hoejip.

 

나로도여객터미널 근처에서 배 타기 전에 밥부터 챙겨야 하잖아?
그래서 바로 근처 남도횟집으로 갔지.
이 집은 회도 유명하지만, 이날은 왠지 따뜻한 찌개류가 땡겨서 삼치조림을 시켰어.

 

 

 

 

Before boarding the ferry near the Naro Passenger Terminal, you need to grab a meal, right? So, we headed straight to the nearby Namdo Hoejip. This restaurant is famous for its raw fish, but that day, I was craving something warm and spicy, so I ordered braised mackerel.

 

 

 

 

그런데 이게 완전 신의 한 수였어.
큼직한 삼치에 양념이 진하게 배어 있고, 밥 비벼 먹기 딱 좋은 그 간장+고추 조합이랄까.
조림국물에 무도 들어가 있는데, 적당히 익어서 삼치랑 같이 한입 먹으면 진짜 밥도둑이야. 🍚
테이블마다 김치 냄새, 고등어조림, 회냄새가 섞여서 완전 남도밥집 분위기 그대로였고.

 

 

 

And it was a godsend. The large pieces of tuna were richly seasoned, and the combination of soy sauce and chili peppers was perfect for mixing with rice. The braised radish was also added to the broth, and when you eat it with the tuna, it's a real rice thief. 🍚 The aromas of kimchi, braised mackerel, and raw fish mingled on every table, creating the perfect atmosphere for a Southern restaurant.

식사 후 나오니 바람에 바닷내음이 실려와
“이제 진짜 섬으로 가는구나…” 싶더라.
바람이 좀 불긴 했지만, 파도랑 어선들 오가는 모습 보면서
여행 기분이 제대로 나기 시작했어.

 

 

 

After our meal, the breeze carried the scent of the sea, and I thought, "We're really heading to an island now..." It was a bit windy, but watching the waves and fishing boats go by I really started to feel like I was on vacation.
