예밀와인은 강원도 영월에서 만든 국산 와인이야. 그냥 와인이 아니라, 영월 김삿갓면 예밀촌마을에서 직접 재배한 포도로 만들어서 이름도 ‘예밀와인’이 된 거지! 🍷 예밀 (禮密) 은 한자어로 '예의(禮)'와 '가득하다(密)'를 합친 말로 '예의로 가득한 마을'
Yemil Wine is a domestic wine made in Yeongwol, Gangwon-do. It's not just any wine, it's made from grapes grown directly in Yemil Village, Kimsatgat-myeon, Yeongwol, and that's why it's called 'Yemil Wine'! 🍷 Yemil (禮密) is a Chinese character that combines 'courtesy (禮)' and 'full (密)', meaning 'a village full of courtesy'.
처음에는 마을 주민들이 농사짓던 포도로 뭔가 색다른 걸 만들어보자 해서 시작한 거야. 그래서 2009년에 예밀2리 영농조합법인을 만들고, 와인 공장도 짓고 본격적으로 와인을 생산하기 시작했대. 2011년에는 발효실, 숙성실, 저온저장고까지 다 갖춘 와인 가공 시설을 완성했고, 2015년부터는 본격적으로 판매까지 시작했어.
At first, it started with the idea of making something different with the grapes the villagers were growing. So in 2009, they established the Yemil 2-ri Agricultural Cooperative Association, built a wine factory, and started producing wine in earnest. In 2011, they completed a wine processing facility complete with a fermentation room, maturation room, and cold storage, and they started selling in earnest in 2015.
🍇 포도품종 캠벨얼리 Grape variety Campbell Early
여기 와인은 캠벨얼리 (Campbell Early) 품종으로 만들어서 포도향이 진하고 맛도 부드러워. 그리고 영월은 일교차가 크고, 토양도 석회암 점토질이라 포도가 당도 높고 진한 맛을 내는 거지! 덕분에 2018년 광명동굴 대한민국와인품평회 은상, 2019년 대한민국 주류대상 대상 같은 상도 받았어. 은근히 인정받은 와인이란 말이지.
The wine here is made with Campbell Early, so it has a strong grape flavor and a soft taste. Also, Yeongwol has a large daily temperature range, and the soil is limestone clay, so the grapes have high sugar content and a strong flavor! Thanks to this, it won awards such as the Silver Prize at the 2018 Gwangmyeong Cave Korea Wine Competition and the Grand Prize at the 2019 Korea Liquor Awards. It’s a wine that’s secretly recognized.
종류도 꽤 다양한데, 레드 드라이, 레드 스위트, 로제, 화이트(청향) 이렇게 취향대로 고를 수 있어. 특히 예밀와인 힐링센터 가면 와인 족욕하면서 한 잔 마셔볼 수도 있는데, 그게 또 개꿀임.
