▶부안청자박물관은 전라북도 부안군 보안면에 있는 정말 특별한 박물관이야. 여기는 고려시대에 만들어진 '청자'라는 아름다운 그릇들을 전시하고, 그 역사를 배울 수 있는 곳이야. 박물관 건물 자체도 청자 찻잔 모양이라서 멀리서 보면 정말 신기해!
Buan Celadon Museum is a really special museum located in Boan-myeon, Buan-gun, Jeollabuk-do. This is a place where you can learn about the history of 'Celadon', beautiful pottery made during the Goryeo Dynasty. The museum building itself is shaped like a celadon teacup, so it looks amazing from afar!
🦠 푸른빛 도자기, 청자 Blue-colored porcelain, celadon
청자는 푸른빛이 도는 도자기로, 고려시대 사람들이 최고의 기술을 사용해서 만들었어. 부안은 그 당시에 강진과 함께 청자를 만들던 중요한 곳이었고, 여기에는 수많은 가마(도자기를 굽는 큰 화로)가 있었대. 박물관 바로 옆에는 실제로 도자기를 만들던 '유천리 가마터'도 있어서, 옛날 도공(도자기 만드는 장인)들이 이곳에서 얼마나 열심히 작품을 만들었는지 상상할 수 있어.
Celadon is a blue-colored porcelain that was made by the people of the Goryeo Dynasty using the best techniques. At that time, Buan was an important place for making celadon along with Gangjin, and there were many kilns (large furnaces for firing porcelain) here. Right next to the museum is the 'Yucheon-ri Kiln Site' where porcelain was actually made, so you can imagine how hard the old potters (ceramic artisans) worked to make their works here.

🕍 박물관으로 들어가면 When you enter the museum
박물관 안에 들어가면 청자가 만들어지는 과정, 다양한 청자 모양과 무늬, 그리고 청자가 왜 그렇게 특별한지 차근차근 배울 수 있어. 고려 사람들은 꽃, 물고기, 학 같은 자연의 모습을 청자에 새겼는데, 이걸 상감기법이라고 불러. 상감기법은 도자기에 무늬를 새긴 다음, 다른 색 흙으로 채우는 방식이라 정말 정교하고 아름답지!

The Goryeo people carved natural shapes such as flowers, fish, and cranes onto celadon, and this is called the inlay technique. The inlay technique is a method of carving a pattern on porcelain and then filling it with different colored clay, so it is really elaborate and beautiful!
또, 박물관에서는 청자를 직접 만들어볼 수 있는 체험 프로그램도 열리는데, 이걸 하면 나만의 작은 도자기를 만들 수 있어. 만들고 나서 구워지면 반짝반짝 빛나는 작품이 완성돼! 친구랑 가족이랑 같이 도자기를 만들면 더 재밌겠지?
Also, the museum offers an experience program where you can make celadon yourself. If you do this, you can make your own small piece of porcelain. After you make it, it will be baked and you will have a shiny piece of work! It would be more fun to make pottery with friends and family.
