그때 우리 삼척 근덕명품찹쌀꽈배기 갔잖아. 진짜 대박이었지? 삼척에서 맛집이라고 소문난 곳이라 궁금했는데, 가게 앞에 도착하자마자 고소하고 달달한 튀김 냄새가 확 풍겨서 둘 다 자동으로 입꼬리 올라갔던 거 기억나?
We went to Samcheok Geundeok Myungpum Chapssal Gwabagi back then. Wasn't it a hit? I was curious because it was a famous restaurant in Samcheok, but as soon as we arrived in front of the store, the sweet and savory fried food smelled so strong that we both automatically smiled. Do you remember?
우리가 삼척 돌아다니다가 받은 삼척사랑상품권이랑 삼척투어패스 덕분에 뭔가 더 신나서, 그냥 꽈배기만 사려던 게 핫도그랑 고로케까지 풀코스로 사버렸잖아. 현금 쓰는 기분도 안 드니까 더 신나서 이것저것 담았던 거.
We were walking around Samcheok, and thanks to the Samcheok Love Gift Certificate and Samcheok Tour Pass that we received, we were even more excited, so instead of just buying gwabagi, we ended up buying a full course meal, including hot dogs and croquettes. Since we didn't even feel like spending cash, we were even more excited and bought a lot of things.
🥨 꽈배기 첫입의 충격 The shock of the first bite of gwabagi
인상좋으신 사장님이 우리가 주문한 꽈배기, 핫도그,고로케를 눈앞에서 바로 튀겨주셨지. 그렇게 받아든 꽈배기가 뜨끈뜨끈해서 손에 들고만 있어도 행복했는데, 첫입 딱 물자마자 우리 눈 마주치고 "와... 뭐야 이거?" 했던 거 잊을 수가 없어.
The friendly owner fried the gwabagi, hot dogs, and croquettes that we ordered right in front of us. The gwabagi that we received was so hot that we were happy just holding it in our hands, but I can't forget the moment we took our first bite, our eyes met and we were like, "Wow... what is this?"
● 찹쌀 꽈배기: 겉은 바삭, 속은 쫄깃쫄깃! 씹을수록 고소한 향이 퍼지는데, 위에 살짝 묻은 설탕이 사르르 녹으면서 딱 기분 좋은 달콤함이 돌더라.확실히 금방 튀긴 꽈배기는 진심 맛있었어.
● Glutinous rice kkwabaegi: Crispy on the outside, chewy on the inside! The more you chew, the more the savory aroma spreads, and the sugar lightly coated on top melts and gives off a nice sweetness. The freshly fried kkwabaegi was definitely delicious.
● 핫도그: 진짜 어릴 때 먹던 추억의 맛! 빵은 폭신, 소시지는 탱글해서 한입 베어 물면 톡 터지는 느낌이 너무 좋았어. 케첩이랑 머스타드까지 완벽하게 뿌려서 거의 축제였지. 🌭
● Hotdog: It really reminds me of my childhood! The bread was fluffy and the sausage was chewy, and the feeling of it bursting when I took a bite was so good. It was almost like a festival because it was perfectly sprinkled with ketchup and mustard. 🌭
● 잡채 고로케: 이건 진짜 반칙 수준이었어. 겉은 완벽하게 튀겨서 크리스피하고, 안에 잡채가 부드럽게 씹히는 그 담백+고소 폭발 콤보! 우리 이거 먹으면서 계속 감탄했잖아.
● Japchae croquette: This was really cheating. The outside was perfectly fried and crispy, and the japchae inside was soft and chewy, a light + savory combo! We kept exclaiming while eating this.
위의 세개를 차례차례 맛보았는데 개인적으로 고로케가 제일 맛있었어.
I tried the three above one by one, and personally, the croquette was the most delicious.

탁 트인 바다 보면서 꽈배기 먹기 딱 좋은 스팟! 모래사장에 앉아서 쉬면 진짜 힐링될 거예요.게다가 bts가 앨범사진을 찍은 곳으로 유명하지.
A perfect spot to eat kkwabagi while looking at the wide open ocean! It's really healing to sit on the sandy beach and rest. It's also famous as the place where BTS took their album photos.
● 이사부독도기념관 (차로 15분) Isabu Dokdo Memorial Hall (15 minutes by car)
역사도 배우고, 독도체험관도 둘러볼 수 있는 알찬 전시 공간.
A full exhibition space where you can learn about history and tour the Dokdo Experience Center.
● 덕산해수욕장및 덕봉산둘레길 (차로 5분) Deoksan Beach and Deokbongsan Trail (5 minutes by car)
조용하고 아담한 해변과 그 옆 둘레길이라, 꽈배기랑 커피 한 잔 챙겨서 여유롭게 쉬기 좋아요.
A quiet and cozy beach and a trail next to it, so it's great for taking a break with kkwabagi and a cup of coffee.
✨ 마무리 Conclusion
맛있는 꽈배기먹고 고로케먹고 핫도그까지먹으니 세상이 이뻐보였지. 저녁밥을 먹고 왔는데도 맛있더라. 바닷가 가까이 있다보니 겨울보다는 여름에 더 장사가 잘 된다고해. 여름에는 줄을 서서 사먹어야한데.
The world seemed beautiful after eating delicious donuts, croquettes, and even hot dogs. Even after eating dinner, it was delicious. Since it is near the beach, they say business is better in the summer than in the winter. In the summer, you have to wait in line to buy it.
맛있으니 계절에 상관없이 맛있는데 아무래도 막 튀긴 꽈배기는 추운날 먹는게 제맛인듯.
It is delicious regardless of the season, but I think freshly fried donuts are best eaten on a cold day.
