고등어구이 정식… 친구야, 이건 진짜 말해야 한다
요즘 서울에서 밥 한 끼 제대로 먹기 쉽지 않잖아.
근데 삼각지역 근처에서 어쩌다 들어간 대원식당이 너무 잘해서, 너한테 바로 자랑하려고 한다.
고등어구이 정식 한 입 먹는 순간, “아… 이 집은 업력이 괜히 있는 게 아니구나” 싶더라.
Grilled mackerel set meal… Friend, I really need to tell you this. It's not easy to get a decent meal in Seoul these days. But I stumbled upon Daewon Restaurant near Samgakji Station and it was so good I wanted to show it off to you right away. The moment I took a bite of the grilled mackerel set meal, I thought, "Wow… this place has a lot of history."

화덕 느낌의 불향이 은근하게 배어 있고 고등어 살결이 부드러운 편

🍽 고등어 맛… 이건 집에서 절대 안 나오는 부드러움
너도 알잖아, 집에서 후라이팬으로 구우면 퍽퍽하거나 짜거나 타거나…
근데 여긴 고등어가 살이 촉촉하게 살아 있음.
기름기는 적당하고, 짠맛·비린맛 하나 잡혀 있어서 아주 깔끔.
반찬은 솔직히 기대 안 했는데
나온 반찬들도 전부 맛있었음.
어디 하나 손 놓은 반찬이 없더라.
🍽 The taste of mackerel... This is a tenderness you'll never get at home.
You know, when you fry it in a pan at home, it's dry, salty, or burnt... But here, the mackerel is moist and alive. The oiliness is just right, and the saltiness and fishiness are all kept to a minimum, making it very clean. Honestly, I wasn't expecting much from the side dishes, but they were all delicious. There wasn't a single dish that was lacking.

우리가 7명이라 방문 전에 예약 가능한지 물었는데 가능하다고 하셨고,
현장에서도 안내가 엄청 친절했음.
가게 앞이 좁아서 웨이팅이 꽤 있었는데
골목 안쪽에 별관처럼 사용하는 공간이 따로 있어서
우리 일행은 그쪽으로 안내받아 아주 편하게 먹을 수 있었다.
🧑🍳 Even the servers were friendly.
Because there were seven of us, we asked if reservations were possible before our visit, and they said yes. The on-site staff was also incredibly helpful. The restaurant's front is narrow, so there was quite a wait. But there was a separate space, like an annex, tucked away in an alley. Our group was directed there, where we could eat comfortably.
🕰 분위기 & 노포 감성
외관은 투박하지만, 음식 맛에서는 연륜이 딱 느껴짐.
괜히 오래된 가게가 아님.
기교 없이 제대로 맛있는 집.
밥 먹으면서 우리 모두
“아… 이런 고등어구이가 진짜 밥도둑이지”
이러면서 순식간에 접시 비웠다.

The exterior may seem unassuming, but the food speaks for itself. It's not called an old restaurant for nothing. It's a truly delicious restaurant without any pretense. While eating, we all said, "Wow... this kind of grilled mackerel is a real meal-snack," and quickly emptied our plates.

여기 대원식당은 그냥 맛있는 정도가 아니라,
