부안에서 만난 뜨끈쫀득 찐빵, 슬지네제빵소 Hot and chewy steamed buns from Seoljine Bakery in Buan

쫀득쫀득~ 이 맛에 반했어요!

주말에 부안 여행 중 우연히 들른 슬지네찐빵집,
이름은 익히 들어봤지만 직접 가본 건 처음이었어요.

 

 

While traveling in Buan over the weekend, I stumbled upon Seoljine Jjinppang. I'd heard of it before, but it was my first time actually going there.

 

🏡 슬지네제빵소, 이름에 담긴 이야기 Seulji's Bakery, the Story Behind the Name

 

'슬지네'라는 이름, 참 특이하죠?
사실 이 이름은 창업주 어머니의 이름 '슬지'에서 따온 것이라고 해요.
슬지 어머님이 정성껏 빚어 팔던 찐빵이 동네 사람들에게 입소문 나기 시작하면서
"슬지 아줌마네 찐빵집" → "슬지네찐빵집"으로 자연스럽게 불리게 되었다고 합니다.
그 따뜻한 손맛과 정성이 지금까지도 이어지고 있는 거죠.

 

 

"Seulji's" is quite unique, isn't it? Actually, it's said to be named after the founder's mother, "Seulji." As word of Seulji's mother's lovingly crafted and sold steamed buns spread among the neighborhood, the name naturally shifted from "Aunt Seulji's Steamed Bun Shop" to "Seulji's Steamed Bun Shop." That warm, homely touch and dedication continues to this day.

 

🥯 찐빵은 역시 따끈할 때 한입! Steamed buns are best enjoyed while they're still warm!

겉은 쫀득, 속은 달콤한 팥이 가득!
요즘은 옛날 찐빵 맛나는 집 찾기 쉽지 않은데, 여긴 진짜 정통 스타일이에요.
기계로 찍어낸 느낌이 아니라, 정성스럽게 만든 그 맛!

 

 

Crispy on the outside, filled with sweet red bean paste! It's not easy to find a place that tastes like traditional steamed buns these days, but this place is truly authentic. It's not machine-made, but lovingly made!

 

 

🪑 쉴 곳도 넉넉해서 좋았어요. I loved the ample seating.

실내엔 앉을 자리도 여유 있고,
밖엔 정자처럼 꾸며진 공간도 있어서 찐빵 사서 바로 먹기 딱 좋았답니다.
커피 한잔과 함께 먹으면 더 꿀맛~

 

 

There's plenty of seating inside, and there's also a pavilion-like space outside, perfect for enjoying the buns right after you buy them. It's even better with a cup of coffee~

 

 

📦 포장도 많이들 해가시더라고요. Many people also get it to go.

차에 실어가기도 좋게 잘 포장되어 있어
집에 와서 전자레인지에 살짝 데워먹으니 또 그 맛 그대로!

It's nicely packaged for easy transport. Just warm it up in the microwave at home and it's just as delicious!
