채석강이 어떤 곳이냐면,
부안 격포항 바로 옆에 있는 해안 절벽인데
파도와 바람이 깎아 만든 층층의 암석이 마치 거대한 책장처럼 생긴 명소야.
옛날 시인들도 절경에 반해서 ‘채석강(彩石江)’이라고 부를 정도였다더라.
실제로 눈앞에 서면 돌 결 하나하나가 너무 신기해서 계속 사진 찍게 돼.
한국에 이런 풍경이 있었다는 게 좀 감동임.
Chaeseokgang is a coastal cliff right next to Gyeokpo Port in Buan. It's a famous landmark, with layers of rock carved by waves and wind, resembling a giant bookshelf. Even ancient poets were so captivated by its breathtaking scenery that they called it "Chaeseokgang" (彩石江). When you actually stand before it, each rock formation is so fascinating that you can't help but take photos. It's truly moving to think that such a landscape exists in Korea.

절벽라인 따라 내려가면 겹겹이 쌓인 주름 같은 바위가 계속 이어져
물 빠진 시간엔 아래쪽까지 내려가 인증샷 찍을 수 있음

해식동굴은 자연광 들어오는 각도까지 예쁘게 떨어져서 사진 맛집 제대로였어
🏞 1. Photo Spot
Down the cliff face, you'll find a series of layered, wrinkled rocks. During low tide, you can go all the way down to take a commemorative photo. Friend, you'll probably think, "Am I overseas?" when you see the photos I took here, lol. The sea caves were beautifully angled, with natural light streaming in, making them a perfect photo spot.

파도가 수천 년 동안 바위를 깎아서 생긴 동굴
안쪽에서 바깥 보면 자연이 만든 액자 느낌
물결 소리가 울려서 분위기까지 묵직함
사람이 많긴 했는데 사진 찍기 딱 좋은 타이밍 계속 와서 나도 바로 찰칵
🌊 2. Sea Cave Details
A cave formed by waves eroding the rock over thousands of years. Looking from the inside out, it feels like a natural picture frame. The resonating sound of the waves adds to the atmosphere. There were a lot of people, but they kept coming at the perfect time for taking photos, so I snapped one right away.

물이 빠지는 썰물 시간에 가야 제대로 구경 가능
신발은 평범한 운동화 추천 (바위면이 층층이라 은근 미끄러움)
격포항이 옆에 있어서 산책 루트로도 최고였음

🕒 3. Visiting Tips
Visit during low tide to fully appreciate the view. Casual sneakers are recommended (the layered rock surface can be a bit slippery). Gyeokpo Port is right next door, making it a perfect walking route.
🙋♀️ 4. 내 감상 — 친구야, 너 여기 꼭 가
솔직히 말해, 사진으로 봤던 것보다 실물이 훨씬 선명하고 웅장함.
해식동굴까지 이어지는 라인 걸으면서
“와… 이게 자연이 만든 거야?”라는 말만 계속 나왔음.
너랑 같이 왔으면 사진 천 장 찍었을 듯.

Honestly, it's much clearer and more magnificent in person than it looks in photos. Walking along the line leading to the sea cave, I kept saying, "Wow... was this made by nature?" If I had come with you, I think I would have taken a thousand photos.
